For the first time in the nation's history, all Christian civil servants will be given one day unrecorded leave tomorrow in conjunction with Good Friday.

This does not include those states where Good Friday is already a public holiday.

This was stated in a circular from the director-general of Public Service yesterday.

The circular was addressed to all ministry secretary-generals, heads of departments, state secretaries and local authorities.
