Two injured as car rams into bank

Two people were injured when a car rammed into a bank in Kulai today.

Police said the incident occurred about 9.15am in Taman Indahpura.

"Initial investigation suggest that the incident occurred due to the carelessness of the driver, who accidentally stepped on the accelerator as she was parking her car near the bank. 

"As a result, two individuals, including a security guard and a member of the public, was injured. 

"The 78-year-old driver did not sustain any injuries," police said. 

Police added that the victims were sent to Kulai Hospital for medical attention. 

"One of the victims was injured on his left foot, while the other sustained some bruises on her arms. 

"Meanwhile, the bank had its entrance glass door, wall and several furniture damaged due to the accident," added police.

According to The Star, police said the case was still under investigation and no summons had been issued.
