Skeletal remains of man missing for 2 years found

The mystery surrounding the disappearance of a man two years ago finally came to light when skeletal remains were found at an unoccupied government quarters in Jalan Pesta, Bakri in Muar.

Police said they received a call from the public alerting them of the incident about 6.30pm.

Police also found a MyKad near the body and the next of kin has since confirmed it belonged to their family member who went missing two years ago.

There was also element of foul play suspected.

The remains have since been sent to the hospital to determine the cause of death.

The case has been classified as sudden death.
