A man in his forties escaped unhurt after his RM1.2 million Ferrari F458 suddenly caught fire along the MRR2 near the Batu Caves roundabout this morning.

In the incident at 1.20am, the fire is believed to have started in the engine area before spreading rapidly.

The victim realised there was smoke from the engine and rushed out of the vehicle and called for help.

Firemen who arrived at the scene said the fire spread quickly, but they managed to put it out in ten minutes.

They are still investigating the cause of the fire.
