Upset over getting fired, a Malaysian man working in Singapore brutally stabbed and killed his employer.

According to reports in the Chinese media, Yu Jinman, 23, was told by his company director, Lin Xinjie on Monday that he had been relieved of his position in Jiji Singapore.

Upset and enraged over the news, he confronted his former boss later that day and attacked him with a kitchen knife.

Apparently, the victim tried to defend himself by reaching out for a small knife nearby.

Another employee, Li MingQiao who was in the office at the time, tried to stop the suspect, but was injured in the incident.

Following the incident during lunch hour, the suspect allegedly began slashing himself in an attempt to commit suicide but was stopped by cops who arrived at the scene.

The 30-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

According to reports in The Straits Times, the suspect was fired for a second time and was working there for five years.
