What does one get from insulting another's religion?

Yesterday, cops nabbed a 52-year-old man for posting lewd and insulting remarks about the Hindu religion.

Apparently, the man used the name Zamri Bin Abd Razak on Facebook to post the messages.

He is now being investigated for causing disharmony, disunity, or feelings of enmity, hatred or ill-will on grounds of religion.

Police said he is also being investigated for misusing network facilities and services under the Multimedia and Communications Act.

The public have also since been advised not to misuse social media or other forms of communication to upload provocative postings that touch on religion and racial sensitivities.

Police said such acts would only spark tension among the people of various races and religions.

They warned stern action against any party found committing such acts.
