A family of four died in an accident involving three vehicles along the Jalan Kota Tinggi - Bandar Tenggara stretch early today.

The 12.33am incident at KM55 claimed the lives of Mohd Firdaus Januri, 34, his wife Norlia Osman, 33, and their two children, Muhammad Adli, six, and Nur Dalili, four.

Police said another car and lorry were also involved in the accident.

Initial investigations revealed that the lorry driver had lost control of his vehicle before entering the opposite lane and crashing into the two cars.

The family was killed on the spot, while the driver of the other car escaped with minor injuries.

The bodies of the victims were sent to the Kota Tinggi Hospital for a post-mortem.

The lorry driver, 30, has since been remanded to assist investigations.
