Ladies beware.

A woman lost all her money and other important documents after someone slit open her handbag while she was shopping at the Apollo Market in Butterworth.

It is learnt that the woman only realised when she was trying to get her purse to pay for something.

Apparently these thieves only strike at crowded places with people pushing against each other.

According to netizens, a popular spot for this kind of robbery was at wet markets when women were busy picking out fish or vegetables.

Some netizens claimed that even their waist pouches were slit in this manner and their wallets and handphones stolen.

So, what would be best way for a woman to carry her valuables then?
