About 120 people who thought they were on their way to a great holiday in Europe ended up stranded at the KLIA in Sepang after they were believed to have been cheated by the tour company.

The victims, from the north and south of the country, lost about RM810,000 after being informed their names were not on the passenger lists to Turkey and Paris.

Also, according to Kosmo, there was no representative from the tour company after they arrived at the KLIA about noon.

They only received a call from the agent about 9.35pm yesterday informing them their flight was cancelled.

It is learnt that several of those concerned had since lodged police reports and were still trying to get in touch with the agency concerned.

The victims had apparently learnt of the tour package from the internet.
