What do you guys think of this?

A youth took to Facebook recently to express his disappointment over how DBKL enforcement officers seized their items while they were selling food along Jalan Genting Kelang in Setapak recently.

He claimed they were merely trying to make a living and had purchased the items with all the money they had.

"Why did DBKL have to treat us like we were some kind of criminals.

"I know we were wrong under the law, but all we wanted to do was to earn some money for our families.

"How come foreigners are allowed to operate freely all over the Klang Valley, while we, Malaysians are treated this way," he wrote.

At the time, he said there were a number of customers at their stall and the least the enforcement team could have done was to advice them properly.

"Instead of that, they came at us like we had just committed a major crime.

"We were not disturbing anyone nor disrupting traffic ... why treat us this way," he added.

I tend to agree with this guy. There are so many more serious things going on out there and yet, these enforcement officers pick on innocent people trying to make a living.

Sometimes, these DBKL guys think they are part of the SWAT team or something.
