Netizens are outraged following a video of a 13-year-old student being bullied outside his school in Johor, recently.

According to reports in the Chinese media, the incident took place on April 17 outside a secondary school in Taman Megah Ria.

In the video, the victim is seen being slapped by a 16-year-old boy, while other students watch and even laugh at the incident.

Netizens have urged the relevant authorities, like the police and ministry of education to pay serious attention to this.

Apparently, the father of the bully has since taken to Facebook to apologise for his son's actions.

"Regarding this issue, I have also tried to educate and explain to him, and I hope everyone can give him another chance! A child's mistake is their parents' responsibility, he only stepped on the wrong path! Please give him another chance!

"As his father, I want to apologise to everyone, and I hope he can be given a chance to change," read the man's Facebook post which was in Chinese.

However, despite the apology, netizens still want action to be taken against the bully.
