The public have been warned to be on the alert for girls who move around in pairs, claiming to be tourists from China.

They would approach unsuspecting customers at shopping malls and say they have no money for food and ask for help.

After a time, they would re-appear again with changed clothes and hairstyles using the same modus operandi.

Recently, following the alertness of a Facebook user, four such scammers were nabbed by mall security and taken to the police.

They would first approach their victims and ask if they can speak Mandarin before asking for money.

Following the post, many others had come forward to relate similar experiences at major shopping malls in the Klang Valley.

These girls move around in pairs and can change their appearances within minutes.

Beware of these scammers, guys.
