From recent reports, it seems like the authorities are finding an abandoned baby every two to three days.

In the most recent incident, a newborn baby girl was found abandoned in an apartment in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.

Police said the baby was found about 1.34pm.

Fortunately, the baby was fine and has since been sent to the hospital for a check-up.

It is rather unfortunate that more and more women are resorting to such means these days.

I understand that some of them are unable to support the baby, but please at least have the decency to leave the baby in a safe place.

If nobody had heard the poor baby's cries, she would have died in the apartment.

It is no fault of the baby, so why should the poor little one suffer such pain.

There is nothing the authorities can do to prevent this and it is all up to the people responsible.

It is really depressing and painful to keep reading of such cases and I really pray everyone can help play a role to prevent such cases.
