How can this little one be a nuisance? - Image from

I live in a condo unit and have a pet dog, a tiny Tea-Cup Poodle which does not make any noise at all nor pose a nuisance to anyone.

The little dog stays indoors and we hardly take it out, except during it's visits to the vet.

Unfortunately, during one of those trips, a nosy neighbour saw the little dog and lodged a formal complaint with the management.

The management then paid me a visit and after seeing the dog and a small chat, they left without any hassle.

I want to make it clear here now to all condo dwellers. If you check the laws, there is no prohibition to anyone having a pet.

The only problem is when the pet becomes a nuisance. For example barking loudly, peeing or pooping all over the place, biting public property and so on.

As long as the dog is within your unit and is of no nuisance to others, you are free to own a pet.

It is every child's desire to have a pet and even those living in condos or apartments can have one.

Of course, be reasonable and don't get a German Shepherd or Pit Bull. Breeds like Poodles, Shih Tzus, Pomeranians and other small breeds are fine.

Probably the nosy, old lady who complained about my dog has never had a pet and does not know the joys of having one.
