VIPs and slippers. A waste of time and resources?

I am a person with a very neutral political stand and will support whichever party can to the best for the nation and the rakyat.

There was simply too much dirt linked to the Barisan Nasional and therefore, they had to be shown the exit.

The new government was voted in with high expectations and the rakyat had a renewed hope.

To be honest, to date, as a citizen of this country, I am yet to taste any of these promises from the PH administration.

I am still suffering economically and so are my family members and the friends I know.

Just to share my two cents worth. Regarding the recent ruckus about the MIC politician who used a pair of slippers - yes, it was a breach of airport rules as stated by the ministry concerned, but did it warrant such a big fuss?

To me, calling for a press conference just to highlight this was totally uncalled for.

It seemed like as if, there was something personal against the Senate president, Tan Sri S. Vigneswaran.

I feel that Transport Minister, Anthony Loke should focus on more pressing transport-related issues like kopi-O licences, the number of illegals on our roads, lorries and buses not fit to be on the roads and so on.

The PH government should begin to focus on matters that matter. Stop wasting time going after personalised issues.

I doubt Vigneswaran's wearing of slippers is going to have any impact on our lives.

I don't know. I am just sharing my views because I want to see some results that matter and not waste time on petty issues.
