I recently read that some new information had surfaced regarding the suicide case of M. Vasanthapiriya.

With all this new revelations, I think it is only fair the parents and police come forward and clear the air.

If the girl really had a past record of attempting suicide, then why was the appropriate action not taken to place her elsewhere to get the proper care and guidance?

Also, why did the parents ignore the counselor's report and leave her in a public school if they knew she was unstable and lastly, if the teacher concerned knew of her condition, then why did she question her in that manner?

There are so many questions still unanswered and while I understand what the parents are going through with her loss, it is also their duty to come clean and clear the air.

Students these days face all kinds of different pressure and many, even at a very young age are unable to cope.

This is why we need to pay extra attention to them and take note of their every move.

I am sure that if the necessary steps had been taken, Vasanthapiriya would be alive today.
