Time to halt development in Penang

I have lived in Penang for more than 50 years and over the years, I have seen how fast this tiny island has developed.

Regardless of which party runs the state, I strongly believe the island has met it's maximum development potential.

Anymore development and I think the entire island may probably sink.

Every corner of the island is filled with development and soon there will not be any greens left for tourists to enjoy.

There are high rise buildings everywhere now and the price of property has already reached the sky.

Also, anymore destruction of hills and forests will only  lead to more natural disasters such as the recent flooding and landslides.

I believe that anymore development to the state should be carried out only on the mainland and it is time, the government put a permanent halt to development on the island.
