A Facebook user, Nor Akmar Qaseh recently took to social media to highlight a truly sad tale about the reality of poverty in the country. She wrote about how a woman had approached her for some money to get some food and also asked her if she had any sanitary pads. Unfortunately, she did not have any at the time. "I then asked her how she managed during that time of the month. "To my shock, she pulled me aside and showed me how she managed with a sarong and newspaper," she wrote. Nor Akmar was so disturbed by the fact that this poor woman would have to go three to four days in that condition, living on the streets. "The poor woman cannot even clean herself and has to live in such conditions. How blessed some people are," she said. For those of you who are moved by this story and wish to assist this woman, you can contact Nor Akmar at 017-3885 161. Sadly, this kind of situation is still rampant in our country.
