I just came across an interesting post by Facebook user, Carlos Phang on the amount he has saved since he stopped smoking.

He posted pictures of the money, totalling RM4,875 from April 13, the date he quit,  to October 13, this year.

Based on the amount, he spent about RM27 a day on cigarettes, which adds up to about RM800 a month.

That's quite an amount, considering the money was just going up in smoke, plus ruining your health.

It was really an eye opener to someone like me, who quit smoking about 17 years ago.

With all that money I burnt, I could have saved a about RM160,000!
