Anyone with information on the violent attack on a woman inside the lift at an MRT station in Cheras recently stands to received a RM10,000 reward.

Kepong MP, Lim Lip Eng said this office was offering the RM10,000 to anyone with credible information on the attacker.

He said police were yet to identify the suspect and he hoped the cash reward will help lead to the suspect's arrest soon.

"My biggest fear is that if he is not caught soon, his actions may influence other villains to commit such crimes in a similar fashion in lifts, or in obscure corners all over the country," said Lim.

According to The Star, the 48-year-old woman suffered multiple injuries, including bruises on her forehead, after the savage attack on Valentine’s Day.

A CCTV recording shows the woman entering the lift, followed by the man, who then punched and kicked her repeatedly.

Anyone with valid information on the assailant's whereabouts can approach Lim's office in Kepong or e-mail [email protected]
