As far as I know, the Seremban International Golf Club is open to all, including many foreigners who come there to chill and relax.

Many of them come there to enjoy their beer and other alcohol and for years, this has never been an issue.

I really do not understand all the fuss the Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun is creating over the sale of beer, threatening even to resign as its president.

According to him, he had no choice but to resign as provisions in the club's constitution allows the sale of beer.

On Sunday, almost 135 members who had turned up at an extraordinary general meeting voted to overturn the ban on the sale of beer implemented since last August.

The club management made the ban decision when Aminuddin was made president.

Members said the decision by the management to ban the sale of beer at the club was simply against the club constitution.

As a member of the club, I know that the club makes good profits from the sale of beer and alcohol and that this has been the practise for years.

To me, this stunt by the Menteri Besar is uncalled for and I believe there are many more important things to pay attention to.

If you do not drink beer, then just stay away. There are many others that do and the purpose of a club is to relax and chill out with friends.
