It pays to be careful what we post on social media.

Remember the girl who posted something about the late firefighter, Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim? Well, Honda today terminated her services.

Honda Sri Utama Auto Malaysia, in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, said the company had found that the employee had breached their policies with her misconduct and terminated her with immediate effect.

"We once again apologise for the hurt the comment had caused. We will be more sensitive in training and educating our employees to instill moral values and respect for all individuals at all times," they said.

The Honda employee concerned had said Muhammad Adib’s death was not a failure of the government but God’s failure in healing Adib.

Muhammad Adib, who was with the Subang Jaya fire station, was assaulted by a mob during the Sri Maha Mariamman temple fracas in Seafield, Subang Jaya last month.

He died at the National Heart Institute in Kuala Lumpur and was buried in Kedah after a funeral in his hometown in Kampung Tebengau, Kuala Kedah.
