Besides the usual armanents like naval ships, rockets, torpedoes, naval-guns, surface-to-surface missiles, helicopter-gunships and so forth and so forth which all need to be in perfect working-order if not perfected to a much more devastation-capable degree, ONE more sector needs to be given special attention----new generation weapons like cruise-missiles, unmanned-drones, more lethal fighter-jets. Because the outcome of any military conflict nowadays may depend on these new-generation armanents. Even nuclear-weapons have to be updated with more reliably accurate delivery-systems because nuclear weapons can be a deterrent to any potential aggressor or enemy. The possession of nuclear weapons and the threat to use them (say if anyone foolish enough to attack the Three Gorges Dam) can make nations think tens of times first before attacking China.
