A picture and an accompanying report by www.penangpost.com, which claimed that a couple engaged in sex at a highway near Changkat Kledang in Jawi, Penang has been debunked by the state police.

Following the emergence of the picture and the accompanying report, today, many social media users had forwarded the picture without verifying its source.

According to The Star, South Seberang Prai  district police chief Supt Shafee Abdul Samad confirmed that the picture was not taken in Penang as the green fence in it is not a feature of Malaysian highways.

The report by www.penangpost.com claimed that the incident took place in Changkat Kledang in Jawi.

While the picture reveals an elevated highway crossing a gorge,  Changkat Kledang is on the contrast a flat coastal area.

The picture shows a nude girl close to a metal sign riveted to a chain-link fence.

In the report, it claimed that a motorist who took the picture was so angry that he later trailed the sex couple to a property in Jelutong.

“Our journalist visited the property to interview the couple. At first, they denied any knowledge of the incident, but when shown the incriminating photo, they admitted their guilt and apologised,” the report added.
