Here’s another reminder why the social media can be your best friend or, your worst enemy as one man from Terengganu found out.

Last Friday, police arrested a staff of the Terengganu Forestry Department in Kuala Lumpur for posting offensive remarks on Facebook towards a policeman, Bernama reported.

The policeman had earlier issued the man a summons for using a registration number that did not adhere to specifications.

Not satisfied, the man decided to vent his anger on Facebook by allegedly posting an abusive posting.

What he didn’t realise was that a screenshot of that posting had somehow gone viral on Whatsapp and landed in the hands of the police.

Kuala Terengganu police chief Supt Suffian Sulaiman said the suspect was arrested around 12.40am Saturday along the roadside in Taman Shahbandar.

Harsh lesson indeed. So, next time, do think twice before you click on that post button.
