What is happening to society these days ?

This time another Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) enforcement officer got physically attacked unnecessarily for doing his job.

According to a report by The Star,  a clamping operation on Tuesday along Jalan Puteri 1/4, Bandar Puteri Puchong, saw the officer and his partner clamped a white Honda City for failing to park at a designated area.

Moments later, at about 12.40pm, a couple approached the officer and acted aggressively. The man then sprayed an unidentified liquid at the officer and then ran off with his wife.

The poor officer suffered irritation to his eyes, which caused blurry vision and experienced breathing difficulties.

The police have since called on the couple to surrender themselves.

Why can't we just respect the law and abide the authorities ? If this trend continues, sooner or later we would become a police state due to the massive distrust the authorities have on us.

Simple fines could turn into jail sentences in an instant.

Where are our common manners ? Why the intimidating attitude ?

In September, a video of a woman screaming and threatening an MPSJ officer with a car steering lock went viral on social media.

No matter what, I believe we must always show restrain in such situations. Perhaps talking it out with the officer could result in a better solution for both sides.

Explain your circumstances patiently. Authorities are human beings too. I am sure they would reason up to it.
