Politics should never be part of school activities.

A politically- themed event held at SK Presint 14 in Putrajaya recently should never have taken place.

It is clearly against Education Ministry guidelines to politicise public school events.

Whether it is the ruling party or the Opposition, it doesn’t matter, just stay away from our schools, please.

Let them figure out their political preferences when they have grown up and are much wiser.

We are a democracy, after all.

At that age, their access to politics should only be confined to what they learn in their history textbooks and nothing else.

Seriously, stop this practice. Hopefully, this is the last time we are going to hear about this.

I do not send my nine-year-old son to school to sing political party songs and wave party flags.

Patriotism yes, anytime.

But no politics, please.
