'How can this lorry even be on a public road?'

This is definitely a disaster waiting to happen.

How this lorry, seen clearly and dangerously overloaded with scrap metal, is allowed on a public road is anybody’s guess.

This picture was taken in Sungai Petani, Kedah recently.

By taking only one look, I can think of so many scenarios that could go horribly wrong.

Look at how the load is almost bursting at its seams and is only being held by thin pieces of ropes that could snap anytime.

The load itself has no proper covering and all it takes it a slight loss of control or an emergency stop for it to spill over.

And we are talking dangerous scrap metal that can kill here.

One wonders how these transporters have the guts to cooly drive overloaded lorries like these openly on public roads.

I have seen many such lorries on the road and they certainly give you some scary, anxious moments when we drive behind or pass them.
